OOCL's outlook has turned more pessimistic in March

The coronavirus outbreak creates great uncertainty as to how the transport and logistics sector will develop this year, says Hong Kong-based container line OOCL in a financial statement by the carrier's listed parent company, OOIL. The company is part of China's Cosco.

Initially, the virus outbreak hit Chinese regions hard. Authorities' efforts at first made the company estimate that economic growth would be markedly reduced for a short period, according to the statement.
