Lawyers see more pressure on shipping from EU's new ETS rules

London-based Watson Farley & Williams believes the amendments by the European Parliament to EU’s ETS regulation could add further pressure on shipping, the company tells ShippingWatch. But it can also push the IMO.

The shipping sector could be put under further pressure if the amendments to the Emission Trading System (ETS) as suggested by the European Parliament’s rapporteur Peter Liese are adopted, Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) says in a comment to ShippingWatch.
