Major maritime players launch competition for DEI ideas

A group of companies looking for new ways to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the maritime industry have come up with a ’Dragon’s Den’-style solution.

A group of leading maritime companies have joined forces to launch a shipping equivalent of the television program ‘Dragon’s Den’ to promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the maritime industry.

The initiative has been named the Maritime Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Innovation Lab 2022 and is backed by six companies – Thome Group, Hafnia, Anglo American, RightShip, Rio Tinto, and Wilhelmsen.
