Scorpio Bulkers buys four ships

Shortly after a failed attempt at raising capital, Scorpio Bulkers buys four vessels for a total USD 90 million. One vessel will be paid for in stock.

Scorpio Bulkers has acquired four dry bulk vessels from two different sellers, informs the dry bulk carrier. The transaction involves three Ultramax vessels and a Kamsarmax for a total USD 90 million, of which some USD 13 million will be paid in Scorpio stock.

All three Ultramaxes were built at China's Chengxi yard and were delivered in 2014 and 2015. The Kamsarmax is under construction and will be delivered from China in the second quarter 2018.
