Danish dry bulk carrier lifts profits significantly

Dry bulk carrier T.K.B. Shipping exits second half of 2017 with profits far better than in previous annual reports. Chartering Manager Jacob Palle Madsen has positive expectations for 2018.

Danish T.K.B. Shipping emerges strengthened from 2017 with a profit from the second half of the year far exceeding previous years.

The company has released its first financial figures since the founder Thomas Boesen sold his ownership stake in the company to the Jørgen Dannesboe-owned Maestro Shipping SA back in February. The development is only for the second half of 2017 and shows a profit of USD 3.1 million after tax. In the latest annual report - for the period 2016/2017 - the company had a profit of USD 449,000.
