Star Bulk orders 22 scrubbers for its largest vessels

Dry bulk shipping company Star Bulk Carriers has opted for scrubbers for the largest ships in its fleet in order to comply with the upcoming sulfur cap, says CEO Petros Pappas.

Various decisions on how to comply with the global sulfur directive are emerging, and now dry bulk shipping company Star Bulk Carriers has announced its approach. 

CEO Petros Pappas said at a recent teleconference with investors that the company has ordered 22 scrubbers for the largest ships in its fleet.
