Brazilian authorities close yet another Vale mine

A Brazilian court has ordered Vale to suspend yet another of the company's mines. The decision could bring down demand for the already strained capesize segment by 0.1 percent, says analyst.

The tragic accident at Vale's Brumadinho mine complex in January continues to have consequences.

The Brazilian government most recently ordered Vale to temporarily shut down its activities in the company's Tembepeba mine due to safety concerns relating to a dam, writes Vale on its website.
