Baltnav eyes the end to the dry bulk downturn

Dry bulk operator Baltnav has replaced expensive ships with cheaper ships, and the company believes that dry bulk is about to exit the downturn. "The market rarely stays at such a low level," partner tells ShippingWatch.

Almost three months after the coronavirus pandemic sent the global economy into a crisis and pulled the dry bulk rates down with it, operator Baltnav is now starting to glimpse the light at the end of the tunnel.
