Belships is ready to grow and hire in strained dry bulk market

Belships has just hired six top employees from Western Bulk to strengthen its business in Oslo. CEO Lars Christian Skarsgård is open to more recruitments and believes in growth in the otherwise hard-pressed dry bulk market, he tells ShippingWatch.

Norway's Belships is something as unusual as a dry bulk operator in the midst of a profit streak, and the company believes in growth and expansion at a time when the bulk sector overall is it a low point and where competitors are reporting deficits and laying off employees to reduce costs.

It is noteworthy here that Belships is moving in the opposite direction and recently hired six top employees from competitor Western Bulk to strengthen its operator business in Oslo.
