Swiss authorities launch probe into Glencore's business in the Congo

Major commodity trader Glencore informed Friday that the Swiss authorities had launched a probe into the company's businesses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As such, the company's actions are once more being investigated, reports Bloomberg News.

The prosecutors' office in Switzerland has launched an investigation into the company, which has allegedly not had precautions in place to avoid corruption in the African country, said Glencore Friday.
