"We need to earn money now, that's our primary focus"

Ulrik Andersen just finished a horrible second quarter at the helm of Golden Ocean, but the dry bulk market has already taken a drastic turn for the better in the third quarter. "Now we need to maximize our earnings," he tells ShippingWatch.

The chief executive of Norwegian dry bulk shipping company Golden Ocean is more than ready to let the second quarter's bygones be bygones.

Now the time has come to earn back some money at the shipping company, which just booked a deficit of USD 122 million for the first half of the year, CEO Ulrik Andersen says in an interview with ShippingWatch.
