"I haven't been struggling making the uncomfortable decisions"

Peter Norborg's career as chief executive officer has been far from undramatic. But he has not struggled to make the uncomfortable decisions, he explains in an interview with ShippingWatch ahead of becoming CEO of Swire Bulk.

Peter Norborg quietly reflects for a long time before answering any questions. So long, in fact, that you as a journalist start to wonder whether he is just carefully searching for the answer or whether he is straight up in doubt about what to answer.

But looking at 54-year-old Norborg's career over the past seven-eight years, where he has held positions such as COO at Gearbulk and subsequently CEO of Clipper Group, it becomes evident that he has without hesitation made difficult decisions along the way. Both when deciding to complete several layoff rounds, but he has also had to deal with a tragic fatal accident.
