Norden sells tanker vessel after brief ownership

Shipping company Norden has sold a tanker ship that was purchased by the company less than a year ago. The company attributes the quick sale to a shorter and much steeper recovery in the tanker market than anticipated.

Dry bulk and product tanker operator Norden has sold a tanker vessel which was purchased less than a year ago.

The transaction involves vessel Nord Andes, which Norden acquired in December 2019 and which has now been sold to an unnamed Asian buyer, according to a press release. According to CEO Jan Rindbo, the sales price is at "roughly the same level as the purchase price" Norden paid for the ship.
