2021 may set a record for trade in used dry bulk vessels

The market for buying and selling secondhand dry bulk vessels may break a record in 2021. In total, close to 300 dry bulk vessels have changed hands so far this year, writes Bimco in an update.

The number of used dry bulk vessels bought and sold in the first months of the year indicates a record year for trade in vessels for the segment, writes shipping organization Bimco in an update, which also points to steadily rising prices for secondhand dry bulk ships.
