Golden Ocean bags half-billion-dollar profit in best year to date

Dry bulk carrier Golden Ocean exits 2021 with a staggering profit in what became the company’s best year on record. Despite a weak start to 2022, CEO Ulrik Andersen expects a strong second half-year.

The upswing in the global dry bulk market has enabled Golden Ocean to bag a profit of more than half a billion US dollars for the full year 2021, which became the carrier’s best year to date.
