Pacific Basin boosts earnings significantly in first half-year

Pacific Basin has managed to increase earnings markedly in the first half-year period, according to a financial statement from the Hong Kong-based dry bulk carrier. Outlook remains positive as well.

Hong Kong-based dry bulk carrier Pacific Basin books a positive result for the first six months of 2022 at USD 465.1m, a significant increase from a profit of USD 160.1m in the first half of last year.

The numbers appear in a financial statement from the carrier, which since mid-2021 has been helmed by Martin Fruergaard as chief executive.
