Chinese housing market could force bulkers to look elsewhere

Home sales in China are now 40% below normal. This affects shipping companies that ship dry cargo. The Chinese may turn their attention to other sectors, it says.

When China sneezes, the dry cargo market catches a cold, and as the country has been in a historic crisis in the real estate and industrial sectors in recent years, this is also felt in freight prices.
