Lauritzen Bulkers sees profits dip: "We misread the market"

The dry cargo operator was on track for a bigger plus last year, but then November came. The market went up, but the operator had bet on down. ”Annoying,” says the chief exec.
"We are positive when we look ahead. The market has risen 25% in the last two weeks. We do not believe that the problems in the Panama Canal and Yemen will be solved in the first year, and therefore we will continue to see inefficiencies on the supply side," says Niels Josefsen, CEO of Lauritzen Bulkers. | Photo: Pr-foto Carsten Lundager

Lauritzen Bulkers delivers a profit on the bottom line for the third year in a row - but it came to a standstill in 2023.
