Pacific Basin reports left over capacity for the rest of the year

The dry cargo shipping company experienced decreasing day rates in the handysize segment in the first quarter, while the supramax segment was unchanged.

Dry cargo shipping company Pacific Basin expects strengthened demand in the spot market after a first quarter that saw declining rates for the company’s handysize vessels, while supramaz vessels had unchanged rates compared to the same period in 2023.
