Miner BHP targets first ammonia-powered bulker in 2026

BHP has shortlisted eight companies to build, operate and fuel at least one of the ammonia ships.

One of the world’s largest mining companies, Australia’s BHP, expects to take delivery of its first ammonia-powered dry cargo ship in 2026, according to the news media Reuters.
