Scorpio Bulkers' 2015 losses cross USD 200 million

Scorpio Bulkers divested 11 newbuilding contracts in a third quarter that brought a net deficit of USD 18.1 million, a development that brings the carrier's combined 2015 losses to more than USD 200 million.

With a deficit of USD 18.1 million in the third quarter of the year, Scorpio Bulkers' combined 2015 losses have now reached USD 208.8 million, according to the carrier's interim report, published today, Monday.

Earnings in the quarter came to USD 15 million after average TCE rates of USD 7,875 per day. For segments, the TCE rates came to USD 7,966 for Kamsarmax, USD 6,996 for Ultramax and USD 10,825 for Capesize.
