J. Lauritzen's CFO steps down

On Thursday, the day when the financial report for the past year's dry bulk purgatory will be published, J. Lauritzen bids farewell to its Chief Financial Officer of the past 18 years. She is leaving the carrier in the midst of the worst financial crisis in the history of the company.

While dry bulk carrier J. Lauritzen tries to weather the worst storm of its life and is under enormous economic pressure, the carrier is now losing its CFO of 18 years.

In relation to her 60th birthday, CFO Birgit Aagaard-Svendsen has decided to use an option in her contract, which allows her to step down because of age.
