Owner: This is why Thorco Shipping is a solid business

Thor and Christian Stadil have plans to prove that the foundation of their business is healthy by splitting up Thorco Shipping where the financial burden of acquiring vessels will be extracted from the carrier. "We're just doing what our competitors do," Chairman Thor Stadil says.

Thorco Shipping projects the worst possible market for project- and multipurpose vessels throughout 2017.

"For 2017, we have written the same numbers as the first half of 2016, which was the worst period in our time in the shipping business. Of course, we hope that things will get better but we opted to budget carefully," says Thor Stadil, Chairman of Thorco Shipping, owned by Thor and Christian Stadil's business group Thornico, which constitutes the financial safety net below the shipping business.
