Dutch bank ING cancels credit to multipurpose carrier

Major bank ING has withdrawn its financing of Dutch multipurpose group Flinter Groep and Flinter Fleetholding, the company confirms. Vessels will be auctioned off.

Bank ING has terminated its credit to the Dutch carrier and ship management company Flinter Group.

"Flinter Groep and Flinter Fleetholding confirm that on Wednesday evening ING Bank has accelerated her credit lines and that there is no other option than to file for suspension of payments," Flinters writes in a statement on its website.
