
The benchmark Baltic Dry Index increased by no less than 7.3 percent on Friday, reports Bloomberg News, to a total 1,045 points.
This marks the first time in a long time that the index has crossed the magical 1,000 point barrier, as a similar level has not been since early august 2015.
