The world's number one miner, Rio Tinto, is often a solid indicator for the state of key economies. This time, the company confirms that China is once more driving the growth.

London-based mining major Rio Tinto confirms what several dry bulk carriers have hinted at recently: That growth in China – and thereby the country's consumption of commodities such as steel and aluminum – surprised positively in the first six months of 2017.
