Former Rickmers Maritime CEO hired by Greek carrier

The former chief executive officer of Rickmers Maritime, Søren Andersen, has found a new job after the company has been shut down. He will serve as senior vice president of business development for Navios.

Until April last year, Søren Andersen headed Rickmers Maritime, which had to close down after a protracted battle with bondholders in the company and repeated attempts at a restructuring.

He now has a new job at Navios, which acquired some of Rickmers Maritime's vessels. Since October, he has served as senior vice president for business development, and his job is to grow Navios' business in Asia.
