Hanjin Shipping's bankruptcy behind HMM's spectacular growth

The notable growth in container volumes experienced by South Korean Hyundai Merchant Marine last year can almost exclusively be attributed to Hanjin Shipping's bankruptcy, says analyst Lars Jensen.

On several occasions, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) has stressed that the carrier is on an upward growth trajectory with reference to the huge increase in container volumes, but the actual picture may not be that bright.
