Competition among box carriers not in the Top 20 has increased, writes SeaIntel in a new analysis. Two different strategies dominate among the liner companies.

Competition among the biggest players in the liner shipping market has intensified, and the same is true for the smaller liner companies.

SeaIntel has analyzed the strategies of the 90 biggest liner companies, among which the Top 20 companies are by far dominant and account for a combined market share of more than 80 percent of the overall container shipping market.
