South Korea will order 200 ships ahead of 2020

The country has unveiled its new and comprehensive plan to rehabilitate the country's strained shipping and shipbuilding sector. The plan will involve ordering 200 new ships ahead of 2020, including mega-class container ships.

South Korea's government has unveiled its new large-scale plan to get its ailing shipping and shipbuilding sector back on track after the protracted crisis in the sector and not least Hanjin's collapse in 2016.

The plan will see South Korea order 200 vessels ahead of 2020, says the country's Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in a statement Thursday according to Yonhap.
