Hapag-Lloyd places large order for reefer containers

The German container carrier has invested in a large number of containers for its reefer ships, bringing its capacity up to 100,000 reefer containers.

Hapag-Lloyd is bolstering its reefer fleet with the purchase of 11,100 reefer containers.

The containers will be delivered betwee August this year and December, and the carrier's existing capacity of 91,000 refer containers will thus grow to more than 100,000 of the refrigerated container units.
