ONE carriers dethroned in the Pacific

Things have gone in the wrong direction in the Pacific for the new Japanese container consortium, ONE, which has been knocked off its throne by two competitors in particular.

Soon after Japanese consortium ONE was launched in April of this year, it emerged that the three container carriers behind the pink vessels were having difficulty delivering a proper service.

ShippingWatch has spoken with shippers who describe chaotic communication, difficulty in carrying out bookings and the fact that it was almost impossible for customers to get an answer regarding container location and whether it would arrive on time.
