Shipowners merge fleets of smaller container ships

Global Ship Lease (GSL), which owns medium-large and smaller container ships, now joins forces with another shipowner, Poseidon Containers, to merge their fleets. The deal will double GSL' current to a total of 38 container ships in a segment that has yet to be hit by overcapacity, writes GSL in a press release.
