PIL pulling out of important container route

After 15 years, Singapore-based shipping line PIL is withdrawing from the important trade route between Asia and Europe. This will not resolve problems with overcapacity, says Alphaliner.

Pacific International Lines, PIL, is withdrawing from major trading routes between Asia and Europe, reports Alphaliner.

The container carrier is currently sailing for Cosco in the Ocean Alliance on one of the routes between Asia and Europe. However, on April 7 the shipping line will sail on the route for the last time.
