ZIM boosted by rising container rates

Container freight rates have surged, and this has helped increase revenue at Israeli container line ZIM, though transported volumes have decreased.

Israeli container line ZIM secured a positive operating result in the first quarter of 2019 – in contrast to the year before. This development happens on a backdrop of rising prices, while the line freighted decreasing volumes, according to a financial statement.
