Clarksons: Few orders for new ships could put pressure on Maersk

Without new ships, there is only one way for Maersk to increase volumes, and that is by increasing its utilization of existing vessels. But this could prove difficult, notes Clarksons Platou.

Clarksons Platou expects it could be difficult for Maersk to grow its volumes in the remainder of 2019 after the first quarter showed a 2.2 percent drop, writes the broker in an assessment of the shipping company following its financial report.
