Race car driver new CEO of Samskip

Samskip has found a permanent replacement for Jens Holger Nielsen. The new CEO is a 52-year-old Finn who is former chief executive of shipping company Containerships and has an active career as a race car driver.

Shipping and logistics company Samskip has found its new chief executive officer.

The company has hired Finnish Kari-Pekka Laaksonen, who will take over as CEO on Aug. 1. He replaces Jens Holger Nielsen, who switched to Wrist Ship Supply in March 2019 after spending more than 12 years with Samskip.
