Acquisition and new ships boost Seaspan's revenue

The acquisition of GCI and the delivery of newbuilds impacted Seaspan's revenue, which grew 10 percent in the first half of the year. For the first six months, the shipowners earnings more than doubled due to a changed charter arrangement – but in the second quarter alone, the company's top and bottom line decreased.

Seaspan finished the first half of the year with a somewhat better result in the same period the year before.
