Eimskip closes offices and dismisses staff

Icelandic group Eimskip, which covers a container line and a logistics company, closes two offices and slashes 55 jobs. The offices in question are in Belgium and Russia.

Icelandic shipping group Eimskip closes two offices and lays off a significant number of employees.

The Belgian office will be merged with the company's Rotterdam division in the Netherlands, while the Murmansk office in Russia joins the Sortland division in Norway, according to an investor presentation that Eimskip published on its website in association with its third quarter financials.
