Søren Skou wants EU to intervene against state aid for shipping lines

Maersk CEO Søren Skou says it is "totally unacceptable" that the Asian shipping lines HMM and Yang Ming are getting help from their governments. He calls on the EU to enter the case, as the bailouts distort competition.

Maersk Chief Executive Officer Søren Skou says that it is totally unacceptable that both South Korea and Taiwan are helping their national shipping lines HMM and Yang Ming at a time when the global container industry is hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
