Evergreen delivers profit on record rates in the Pacific

Container shipping line Evergreen reports its biggest profit since late 2017, reports Alphaliner. Record freight rates on the Pacific were a key driver behind the growth.

Evergreen Marine Corp reports a profit of USD 108 million for the second quarter.

According to Alphaliner, this is the company's biggest profit since the third quarter 2017, and it is especially attributed to the record-high rates on the Pacific as well as lower fuel costs. Evergreen has booked deficits in recent quarters.
