ONE partner projects better 2020 after rate boom on Pacific

The soaring rates in recent months on the Pacific mean that one of the ONE partners made more money than expected in the second quarter. The update falls in line with a general trend among the biggest container lines.

The massive rate increases seen in recent months of container shipping out of Asia make ONE partner Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, K Line, upgrade its guidance.

The Japanese shipping company now expects an ordinary income for the first half of the year of JPY 8 billion (USD 75.9 million). The company previously expected an income of JPY 5.5 billion.
