ONE tallies final number of containers lost in the Pacific

The ONE container vessel that was hit by a storm in the Pacific last week has now estimated the total number of lost containers, some of which contain dangerous cargo. Insurance claims could near close to USD 50 million.

Vessel ONE Apus hit a storm last week off the coast of Hawaii, causing the vessel to lose a large number of containers in the Pacific.

In the latest update from Ocean Network Express (ONE), which manages the vessel, the total number of lost containers is estimated to be 1,816. 64 of these are expected to contain dangerous goods.
