Five Japanese lenders are now part of Poseidon Principles

Another Japanese lender decides to join the Poseidon Principles, which works for more sustainable loans in the shipping industry. A total of five Japanese finance firms now support the initiative, while there are no Chinese names on the list yet.

Japanese finance firm MUFG Bank joins the Poseidon Principles, which already has the support of a number of international lenders to the shipping industry.

Thus, a total of five Japanese finance firms have now decided to support the initiative, which works to reduce emissions in shipping and adapt lending to the climate requirements set out by UN's maritime body, IMO.
