Maersk has "substantial" logistics acquisitions and decarbonization on its list of biggest risks

Maersk has reviewed its list of top-10 risks that the company must deal with in the medium term. Integrating large logistics acquisitions and decarbonization both figure on that list, which makes sense, argues analyst.

Maersk, the world's largest container line, has ambitions to grow its logistics business through acquisitions over the coming years.

But Maersk also acknowledges that the shipping line only has limited experience within acquiring logistics companies as well as integrating those firms into the company's existing business consisting of container transport, port terminals and logistics & services, reveals the Risk Management analysis from the shipping company's 2020 annual report.
