Jefferies predicts Maersk could earn as much as USD 15 billion this year

The continued high freight rates in the container market now lead Jefferies to heighten expectations for Maersk's 2021 earnings. The investment bank predicts a full-year operating result of USD 14.47 billion.

Investment bank Jefferies raises the price target for A.P. Møller-Maersk by DKK 500 (USD 79.51) to DKK 16,500 (USD 2,623.88), with reference to freight rates staying resilient on the heels of the Chinese New Year, writes Jefferies in a new analysis.
