Seaspan receives first container ship with 69 more to come

Shipowner Seaspan has taken delivery of a new container vessel, the first of 70 newbuilds ordered last year.

Seaspan, the world's largest shipowner, has taken delivery of a new container vessel, the first of 70 newbuilds ordered by the carrier in November last year.

The container vessel has a capacity of 12,200 teu and the company awaits five more vessels in this class, writes Seaspan's parent company Atlas Corp in an announcement.
