HMM books record result in third quarter

South Korean container line HMM more than doubles its revenue in the third quarter, with the red-hot market driving further growth and triggering another record result.

The booming container market gives South Korean container carrier HMM a boost in the third quarter.

Steadily climbing freight rates and huge demand have triggered a 133 percent increase in revenue to KRW 4,016 billion (USD 3.4 billion) from KRW 1,718 billion in the same period of 2020, according to the financial report released by the company Wednesday.
