Former Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd profile secures top position in China

China United Lines has appointed Lars Solbø Christiansen as co-CEO. The carrier recently soared on the list of the world's 100 largest container lines, and Christiansen's tasks will include handling further internationalization.

Lars Solbø Christiansen, who has had a long career in shipping, now takes up the position as co-chief executive officer at Chinese container carrier China United Lines (CULines).

According to his LinkedIn profile, Christiansen has most recently worked as an independent consultant, and now he will share the role of CEO with Raymond Chen, becoming the prime mover of the Chinese shipping line's continued internationalization and professionalization, the company writes on LinkedIn.
