Longer contracts could impact rates among shippers

Long-term contracts of up to three years currently being signed among container lines are going to affect shippers, which will be hit by higher rates, according to Sea-Intelligence.

On average, the container market is seeing more weeks with diving rates than rising ones, which could in turn end up affecting those shippers currently signing long-term contracts with shipping lines.
